Empowering housewives

For a more stable life

The Egyptian Food Bank designed a project to empower housewives to start small poultry projects with the aim of enhancing food security and economic stability for their families. This project provides housewives with breeding supplies, including first-class chicks, balanced feed to ensure healthy nutrition for poultry, medicines to treat diseases, and batteries to improve the poultry breeding environment and increase productivity. It also provides technical training on the best poultry breeding mechanisms, developing their personal skills such as financial management and communication with workers, in addition to health and preventive training to monitor poultry health and ensure security and safety during the production stages. It also provides training on farm preparation to help them establish and develop their small projects.

The project focuses on two main goals:

1. Enhancing food security.

2. Creating Sustainable Economic Growth for housewives and their families – Assisting housewives in recruiting teams, connecting them with local slaughterhouses for market access, and encouraging the efficient use of farm products and farm waste.
