Relief Convoys

Delivering hope and support to the farthest families

Through Relief Convoys, the Egyptian Food Bank supports families affected by natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods, and economic crisis such as “Supporting Day Labor” campaign who were economically affected by the COVID 19 lockdown. Also, by organizing the traveling convoys in aid of the people of Gaza suffering from the war.

The aid begins with an assessment phase, including field research and community studies, to identify the most impoverished and vulnerable villages and provide them with appropriate aid through the bank’s various programs.

Launched in 2008, the program initially operated 25 to 30 convoys annually, targeting areas affected by poverty, illiteracy, disease, and extreme hardship, as well as overcrowded slum areas, remote villages, desert areas, and border regions where access to charitable organizations is challenging.

Donors, whether individuals or companies, can request to sponsor a convoy to a specific village by covering or contributing to its costs. The Egyptian Food Bank then conducts a thorough assessment of the village’s needs and delivers the necessary aid accordingly.

The Egyptian Food Bank the most trusted place to give Zakat or Sadaka and feed those in need.
