Water Connection Endowment

The Food Bank aims, through this program, to provide safe, clean, and sustainable drinking water to families living without access to a household water connection. These families often rely on unsafe sources such as water containers or temporary pumps.

A full water connection is installed under the family’s name and supervised by the official water company, ensuring a long-term, reliable solution.

This program is considered an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), meaning a one-time donation creates a continuous and lasting impact.

Target Beneficiaries

The program focuses on underprivileged families in rural and underserved areas, particularly households that include:

• Female-headed households
• Elderly
• Individuals with disabilities

• Families facing health challenges and relying on unsafe water sources

Impact of the Water Connection Endowment

• Helps prevent serious diseases such as kidney failure and gastrointestinal infections
• Relieves mothers from walking long distances to fetch water
• Allows children to focus on their education instead of carrying water containers
• Creates a continuous daily impact through a one-time donation

Your donation doesn’t just provide water… it provides a complete, dignified life for a family.

Donation Value

• Contribution per share: EGP 500
• Full water connection cost: EGP 6,500
